Alabama vs. LSU — Bryant-Denny Stadium
Tuscaloosa, AL Sat, Nov 8, 2026 SEC Football — Home Game Capacity: 101,821
Property Brand Rate (Sat) Rate (Fri) Min Stay vs. Typical
Residence Inn Tuscaloosa Marriott $489 $319 2 nights +$341
Hampton Inn Tuscaloosa Hilton $429 $289 2 nights +$281
Hyatt Place Tuscaloosa Hyatt $399 $249 1 night +$261
Courtyard Tuscaloosa Marriott $379 $269 2 nights +$231
Home2 Suites Tuscaloosa Hilton $329 $219 None +$181
RTP Read: RI Tuscaloosa leading the market at $489 with a 2-night minimum — smart move given the demand compression. Home2 is $160 under the market leader without a minimum stay requirement. If they're holding occupancy back for walk-ups, that's defensible. If not, that's ~$160/room/night left on the table across a sold-out house.
Coca-Cola 600 — Charlotte Motor Speedway
Concord / Charlotte, NC Sun, May 24, 2026 NASCAR Cup Series Attendance: ~170,000
Property Brand Rate (Sat) Rate (Sun) Min Stay vs. Typical
Embassy Suites Concord Hilton $549 $499 3 nights +$389
Marriott Charlotte City Center Marriott $459 $389 2 nights +$319
Courtyard Charlotte Concord Marriott $389 $339 2 nights +$249
Hilton Garden Inn Concord Hilton $349 $309 None +$209
RTP Read: Embassy leading with a 3-night minimum at $549 — aggressive but justified given the demand window. HGI Concord has no minimum stay at $349, which is $200 under the market leader. That's either a deliberate strategy to capture last-minute demand or a missed opportunity depending on how their pace looks 30 days out.

The methodology

Rates are pulled manually from Booking.com, Expedia, and brand.com channels at specific intervals — typically 90 days out, 60 days, 30 days, 14 days, and 7 days before the event. The goal is to show how properties move (or don't move) as the demand window compresses.

The "vs. Typical" column is based on the same check-in dates from a non-event weekend in the same month of the prior year. It's an approximation, not a precise index — but it's directionally accurate enough to tell the story.

The "RTP Read" is an editorial take — not a recommendation. If you're the RM at one of these properties and you disagree with the read, reach out. Context matters and I'll update it.
